Month eleven - 194 HAPPY 1st Day of SUMMER!!!

A little bit of trivia for y'all....This is my 101st post. No applause, please. Really, I appreciate it, but that is enough. I am modest here..... LMAO

Anyway, I am a month away from my ONE YEAR SURGERY ANNIVERSARY and have done very well, if I do say so myself. Losing 150 pounds AND reaching my goal of "below 200" is quite an accomplishment. And I can't stop grinning this goofy grin! Most importantly, I think I look good. I accept the thin, albeit flappy, woman I see in the mirror or reflection. Self acceptance....Imagine that?

And laid-ees (lol, if you are anything like me, you ARE getting laid!!), I have a confession to make. I have been on a "weight-loss program." Besides the surgery. It has helped me lose the last 10 pounds of confusion. It is one of those stupid MLM things, but I am definately not in it for the money. My chiropractor used this stuff and suggested it to my husband (who could afford to lose about *coughing* 150 *coughing* pounds himself). He tried it, hoping at the very least, to help with his IBS. I was struggling with the six pounds to get under my "200 GOAL" and thought I would give it a shot. Hey, ANYTHING is better than the stuff I was eating anyway. If anyone has read my previous posts, it is a wonder I have made it this far! LOL

So, I jumped on the bandwagon and actually suceeded. There is a shake for breakfast, a sensible lunch (400-600 calories laden with protein and greens) and another shake for dinner and plenty of HEALTHY snacks. Then there is the weekly "cleanse" day. Basically, it is a fast day supplemented with this juice concoction and "snacks." Everything is loaded with nutrients and "live, active" enzymes and blah blah blah. Supposedly, one of the founding "doctors" is a gastric expert or some other thing. Whatever. All I know is that I lost ten pesky pounds and my husband has COMPLETELY changed his eating habits. Makes it all worth it. Especially since it has put me back on the straight and narrow. I have eliminated simple sugar, caffeine and artificial sweeteners. I have not given up fruit!!! HELL NO! That is my biggest "reward!" But I do miss milk. I think I have had a 1/4 cup of milk since I have started this program three weeks ago.

However, I don't drink nearly enough water....for this program or in general. Just isn't any room!! I think I miss that most of all....chugging gallons of water without blinking an eye. I don't miss alcohol. I don't miss ice cream. I don't miss chocolate, but I miss guzzling water. Especially with the weather we have been having (got to 112 today).

Keep it cool and hang in the shade, that is where I will be!
