I weigh myself every morning. I know, I know. I should weigh myself once a week because my weigh can fluctuate dramatically and I can get depressed and blah blah blah....
Well, I do it anyway. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes it stays the same, and sometimes it goes down. Weigh down....he he.... I am now 297.5!!! I have broke the 300 barrier! That is 48.5 total pounds lost. I am so happy to be at my first mini goal, under 299.
My next goal is to match the weight I was when I moved to out of my parents and into our house two years ago. That was 275ish??? I don't know, somewhere around there. I want to meet that goal by Veteren's Day (mid November). If I don't....Oh well....but it would be nice.
I. AM. UNDER. 300 POUNDS!

Month two - 302
Okay, I lost another 1.5 pounds. That is a total of 44 pounds and not quite two months out.
Friday night, I took my kids and my mother to Disneyland for mommy's birthday. We had dinner at the Plaza Inn. Mummy and I love the "Broasted" chicken. I ate part of a "side salad" and part of the chicken breast and a few bites of mashed potatoes/no gravy. Oh, yeah, and I munched on some haricorts verts (green beans).
Saturday, Hubby took us out to breakfast. I got a crab omelet and he got Crab Benedict. I ate a few bites of each and had to shove it away. We packed it up and a munched on the omelet later. I deconstructed the crab cake from his Benedict and found very little crab meat. I ate whatever was there and trashed the rest of the "cake." The omelet was okay. I will choose more wisely next time.
We wandered into a See's Candies (I am trying to live VICARIOUSLY) and they offered a sample of Molasses Chips. I bit off half a chip and started to feel weird....Like when I eat too much gelato. I gave my sample to Hubby.
Later we got gelato at Newport Fashion Island. I ate less than half of my serving and gave the rest to the kids. They ended up feeding it to the Koi in the pond.
For dinner, I got a filet mignon wrap. It was full of yellow rice (tumeric?) and a little steak. Again, I had a few bites and gave the rest to Hubby. I didn't even try the "home" fried potato chips. Scared me. I tried a tiny gourmet Pringle and got a yucky tummy.
Sunday morning, I decided I was not going to "eat." Tired of the ensuing nausea. I slurped on a popsicle instead. Had lunch about 1 P.M. No nausea. Ate dinner. No nausea. Ate dessert (cottage cheese, lime jello and pineapple) and really took my time. No nausea. Hey, I think I have the hang of this!
This morning, slurped on two popsicles and drank a protein drink. By 11:30 I was starving and had an apple (ate too fast....that was close) and drank a milk from school cafeteria. Later, I had a couple more popsicles.
For dinner, I made chicken cacciatore. I ate my portion without pasta (well, I did sneak a couple of bites of pasta) and a tiny bit of Caesar Salad. I find lettuce goes down really well, believe it or not. And dinner is easier to eat than breakfast. OKAY....I think I got it....

Month two - 303.5
Went to a Dodger game last night....I had maybe three bites of my Dodger dog (one without bun) before I gave up. I did finish my daughter's teryaki chicken and vegetables. Wasn't much left, anyway. And had a nibble of rice before she reclaimed it and wolfed it down....haha
I had a follow-up appointment with my surgeon today. I asked why I am so nauseated and why the no-weight loss this week. He told me the nausea is from eating too fast. I need to eat a 1/2 to 3/4 cup worth of SOLID food in 45 MINUTES! Uh, riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. And he also told me not to count my weight loss from week to week, I will lose inches instead of pounds, blah, blah, blah..... Same stuff I have heard before. He added that most patients lose 10% of their weight in the first six weeks and I am way above that, blah blah... (nevermind, I did manage to lose 1.5 pounds since I weighed myself at home.)

Month two - 305
If I could just get rid of the nausea. I didn't want to eat today because I am tired of that feeling. I went back to bed instead. When I finally dragged myself out of bed, I still did not want to eat. I ended up running late for work, so I didn't have time to eat anyway. When I got to work, I drank a carton of milk and munched on an apple. That helped a little, but I still felt sick.
I weighed myself on my bathroom scale, just for giggles. And my weight REGISTERED! I have lost more six pounds. Another six pounds and I will have lost the equivalent of my daughter! So far, I have "lost" my nephew. HA
